What is NFL Flag Football @ VFA?
- NFL Flag affords VFA the opportunity to partner with the NFL and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- NFL Flag Football is a co-ed 5-on-5 sport.
- Teams consist of 8 to 10 players.
- Games are two 20-minute halves with a five-minute halftime.
- There will be four age groups: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U.
- The age breakdown is below.
6U - 4, 5, 6 year-olds. Must be 4 years-old by July 31 2022 and must not turn 7 before July 31, 2023
8U - 7 and 8 year-olds. Must be 7 by July 31, 2022, and must not turn 9 before July 31, 2023.
10U - 9 and 10 year-olds. Must be 9 by July 31, 2022, and must not turn 11 before July 31, 2023.
12U - 11 and 12 year-olds. Must be 11 by July 31, 2022, and must not turn 13 before July 31, 2023.
- 12U will have the option to bring their own team.
- PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO "PLAY UP" BUT NO PLAYER CAN "DROP BACK" UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

When is NFL Flag Football @ VFA?
- Practices consist of one two-hour practice per week. Practice days TBD
- Evaluations: TBD Time: TBD Location: Pacetti Bay Middle School Field
- Teams will be drafted: TBD
- Practices begin in January 2024.
- Opening day:TBD
- Each team will play a minimum of 5 regular season games (depending on the number of teams)
- Game start times will be dependent on the number of teams.
Where is NFL Flag Football @ VFA?
- Games will be played on Saturdays at Pacetti Bay, with the possibility of the Championships being on a Sunday.
- Evening practices will be at Palencia Elementary.
How much is NFL Flag Football @ VFA?
- Registration fees are $150 per participant.
- Registration includes an Official NFL reversible home/away team jersey for games and flag belt.
How can I volunteer to be a coach?
- You must register to coach on this website.
- All coaches are required to complete a background check and must be issued a VFA badge for eligibility to volunteer with our youth players.
- If you do not have a valid badge, please send an email to [email protected].
- Coaches are allowed two "protects," i.e., their own child plus one player (exceptions will be 12U ONLY).
- Coaches must draft the remainder of their team (with the exception of our 12U, unless additional players are required).
- Players cannot "request" a coach (exception: 12U).
What about refunds?
- After December 31, 2023, no refunds will be given.
